Title: Letters From the Past.

Concept:

Create a paper dress with images and letters written by women in an era where telephone and internet didn’t exist.

 

Bio:

Mary was born in El Cairo, Valle del Cauca, a remote village in the mountains of the Andes in Colombia. She lives in Miami where she devoted herself to paint intuitively, guided by memories and imagination. Her favorite technique is mixed art, collage and spray.

 

What does it means for you to participate in “Mirada de Mujer Miami”?

For me it is an honor to express myself freely in conjunction with this group of women so talented. Work, learn and walk with them in this artistic project and to bring to our communities our stories as mothers, daughters, sisters and friends that we are.

Concepto:

Crear un vestido de papel con imágenes y cartas escritas por

mujeres en una  época en la que no existía ni el  teléfono

ni el internet.

​

 

Biografía :

María nació en El Cairo Valle, un pueblo remoto situado en las montañas de los Andes, en Colombia. Vive en Miami donde se dedica a pintar de forma intuitiva, guiada por los recuerdos y por  su imaginación. Su técnica preferida es arte mixta, collage y aerosol.
