Concept:

When love is present in the human being, its energy illuminates the universe and radiates harmony towards everything around her, generating well-being, happiness and abundance into all creation.

 

Bio:

Eumelia Castro is a Venezuelan artist graduated in advertising and graphic design. She worked for many years as an art director and illustrator in the advertisement field. This work helped her to discover new techniques such as watercolor, crayon and marker. To work with these techniques helped her to make a jump and experiment with oil painting. In this way it has developed a unique style that she has always been faithful to and in which the feminine beauty and delicacy, full of bright colors, is always implicit.

Eumelia uses spatula and apply the impasto technique to create smooth and dynamic textures. She has successfully exhibited her work in galleries and art fairs in the United States, Belgium, Spain, Italy, China and Korea.

 

What does it means for you to participate in “Mirada de Mujer Miami”?

For me the project means to speak out, reaffirming our convictions. It has aroused a great deal of emotions within me. I feel that, far from only being an artistic project led by women, it is to participate the world that our feminine energy is high, allowing to build a better world.

Concepto:  cuando el amor está presente en los seres humanos,

su energía ilumina el universo e irradia armonía hacia todo lo que

lo rodea, generando bienestar, felicidad y abundancia

 a todo lo creado.

 

Biografía:

Eumelia Castro es una artista venezolana graduada en publicidad y diseño gráfico. Trabajó por muchos años como directora de arte e ilustradora en el medio publicitario. Este trabajo le sirvió para descubrir nuevas técnicas como la acuarela, el creyón y el marcador. Trabajar con estas técnicas la ayudaron a hacer un salto y experimentar con el óleo. Es esta la manera en la que ha desarrollado un estilo único al que le ha sido fiel y en el cual siempre está implícita la belleza y delicadeza femenina llena de  fuertes colores.

Eumelia utiliza espátula y aplica la técnica de “impasto” para crear texturas suaves y dinámicas. Ha expuesto satisfactoriamente su trabajo en galerías y ferias de arte en Estados Unidos, Bélgica, España, Italia , China y Corea.

¿Qué significa participar en Mirada de Mujer Miami?

“El proyecto para mí significa alzar la voz, reafirmando nuestras convicciones. Ha despertado un cúmulo de emociones en mí. Siento que, lejos de ser un proyecto artístico liderado por  mujeres, es participar al mundo que nuestra energía femenina está elevada, permitiendo así construir un mundo mejor”.
