Concept:

Amethyst woman, woman of emotions, dreams, intuitions, of transformations and regenerations. Its main strength is love, its natural flow evokes the ancient sounds and invites to dance and to discover what is in the depths of her heart. Amethyst is free to spread the knowledge like the wind scatters seeds and pollen from flowers, multiplying life.

 

Bio:

Alicia Maria Vallejo, an anthropologist by profession, has found in art and painting a form of communion with her surroundings, her time and with her own experience. Her painting invites to recreate the spirit through art works in which color acquires its own harmony. Her work offers bright and clean strokes with a vibrant and cheerful color palette, daring compositions with contemporary nuances, in which the neo cubist and the new pop art influences are clearly seen. Vallejo’s work has been exhibited in Monaco, Belgium, France, China, Colombia, Peru and the United States. She has participated in an important exhibition at the Louvre Museum in Paris.

 

What does it means for you to participate in “Mirada de Mujer Miami”?

Being part of "Mirada de Mujer" has given me the option of looking at myself with new eyes, to look at my colleagues and other women with the eyes of the heart, to express my feelings and to freely give expression to my emotions in Amethyst.

Concepto:

Mujer Amatista, mujer de emociones, de sueños,

de intuiciones, de transformaciones y de regeneraciones.

Su fuerza principal es el amor, su flujo natural evoca los sonidos

ancestrales  e invita a danzar y a descubrir lo que hay en el fondo

de su corazón.  Amatista es libre para esparcir el conocimiento

así como el viento esparce las semillas y el polen de las flores,

multiplicando la vida.

Biografía:

Alicia María Vallejo, antropóloga de profesión, ha encontrado en el arte y la pintura una  forma de comunión con su entorno, con su tiempo y con su propia experiencia. Su pintura invita a recrear el espíritu  por medio de  obras en las cuales el color adquiere armonía propia. Su obra ofrece trazos vivos y limpios con una paleta de color vibrante y alegre, de arriesgadas composiciones con matices contemporáneos,  donde se ve claramente la influencia neo cubista y del nuevo pop art. Las obras de Vallejo  han sido exhibidas  en Mónaco, Bélgica, Francia, China, Colombia, Perú y Estados Unidos. Ha participado  en una importante muestra en el Museo Louvre en Paris.
